Stabilis Treatment Centre is actively involved in development of prevention programmes in the community of Tshwane. The centre works closely with the Tshwane Metro Police, South African Police Services, electronic and printed media in talks and presentations on substance abuse at schools, universities, churches, community centres as well as the wider community.

Primary Interventions

Secondary Interventions

Intervention directed at school learners experimenting with chemical substances.

In 2007 Stabilis Treatment Centre facilitated a community project called Mon Ami – Trauma Troops. MON AMI (French for “my friend”) - Trauma Troops is a community based support group who emotionally assist people in the Pretoria area who is influenced through trauma. The project is now self-sustained and can be contacted at their emergency number: 073 653 4497.
