MORNING GET TOGETHER FOR LADIES: INFORMATION AS EMPOWERMENT AGAINST THE PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DANGERS IN OUR ENVIRONMENT
The daily attacks on law abiding citizens are destroying individual’s future sense of safety and also has disastrous effects on the community structures in South Africa.
Stabilis Treatment Centre in collaboration with SAPS Brooklyn and Villieria will be presenting an informative morning for ladies on Tuesday 26 August 2008; the aim of the morning is to empower individuals to be psychologically and physically prepared against criminal attacks. An informative discussion on daily practical safety will also be presented.
Topics that will be discussed include: A self-defence demonstration and participation (an open hand is a strong hand), psychological preparedness and daily streetwise safety. The three specialist presenters are Captain Colette Weilbach, Ms. Marina Greyvenstein (Social Worker) and Inspt. Klaas van der Kooi who will also be spending ample time to answer questions.
After the practical demonstrations and participation guest can mingle with the specialist presenters who will answer questions while tea and delicious eats are served.
This unique morning is planned for Tuesday 26 August 2008, 09:00 to 12:00 in the chapel at Stabilis Treatment Centre, Haarhoff Street, Môregloed. Cost is R30 p/p that will cover tea and delicious eats.
